In my new book, Every Story Tells a Picture, I've created "phoems," which are photographs attached to poems, each playing off the other. There are 56 of them. They may strike you as poignant, insightful, humorous, sarcastic or simply odd. I ask that you spend long enough with each of the examples on this site to discover some, and hopefully most, of the connections between the words and images conveyed through puns, double entendres, and ambiguity that express my unique (as far as I know) view of life and the world around us. To learn more about me and my creative process, or just to see some phoems, click on the links at the top or bottom of this page. Thoughtful feedback and questions are welcome. If you're interested in other phoems, or in buying a copy of Every Story Tells a Picture, or a framed copy of any phoem, please contact me.
You'll also find a photo gallery with a few of my photos, some of which I have used in phoems, some of which I will eventually, and some of which I never will.
Finally, there's a poetry section containing a few of my poems.
The site is a work in progress, and will change month to month.
Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoy. |
